On behalf of the Mountain Coffee Company & Hillbillies Bookstore, I organised an exhibition entitled 'John Muir - A Celebration of Wilderness', as part of the 'Wild About Gairloch' annual festival. I constructed a brief and invited local artists to create artwork using nature as their theme and a collection of 10 thought provoking quotes from John Muir, well known writer and conservationist, as inspiration.

 

The aim of the exhibition, which comprised of a range of art works, audio material and literature, was to bring the work of local artists and students together and to raise public awareness with regards to conservation, preservation and the life and achievements of John Muir in a way which was interactive and accessible to all.
