A Long Overdue Post!

Hello! So it's certainly been a while since my last post... For the past few months, I've been focusing my efforts on job-hunting which, to be honest, has become a full time job in itself! I have however been working on some creative projects, including this one for Tigerprint.

The aim of the brief, entitled ‘Make Your Mark’, was to produce a collection of fun patterns which could be used across Marks and Spencer’s Spring/Summer '16 giftware range, through the exploration of mark making.

Inspired by the interesting shapes and patterns found in volcanic rock formations, I created a series of drawings and paintings, which I developed into lino prints, before reworking in Photoshop. Let me know what you think! :)

'Weird Rock', National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. The interesting shapes, known as ‘orbicules’, are full or iron minerals and were formed as the rock cooled from its molten state.
